The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jorge Nuño Lara , supervised the construction progress of the new Real del Monte-Entronque Huasca section, in the state of Hidalgo, which will be part of the Pachuca-Huejutla highway.

He confirmed that the Real del Monte-Huasca section already has a progress of 76% and 5,084 million pesos have been invested. It will have a goal of 10 kilometers, which includes: 2 uneven junctions, 6 viaducts, 3 tunnels and 2 vehicular underpasses.

Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Jesús Felipe Verdugo López and the director of the SICT Hidalgo Center, Ernesto Jáuregui Asomoza, he highlighted that the Vicente Guerrero tunnel, built in just two years, is a key project that will have 4 lanes and is emerging as the longest toll-free federal highway network.

It involves the construction of a new body of 9.8 kilometers (5.34 km of trunk and 4.46 km of structural development) with 4 traffic lanes (two in each direction).

It would benefit a population of 42,000 inhabitants of the municipalities of Mineral del Monte, Omitlán de Juárez and Huasca de Ocampo; and the work has generated around 13,277 direct jobs and 53,110 indirect jobs.

Nuño Lara also reviewed the Cerro Colorado-Zacualtipán section, which is 83% complete, with an investment of 2,126 million pesos and an estimated goal of 51 kilometers. It is estimated that it will be completed in the month of August of this year.

It should be noted that the work carried out by the SICT contemplates environmental compensation for the natural ecosystem of the region. With sustainable green structures in some sections of the road.

The Real del Monte-Entronque Huasca section is located on the Mex-105 Pachuca-Huejutla federal highway, in the state of Hidalgo, it is part of the Mexico-Pachuca-Tampico Intertrunk Corridor, which connects Mexico City with the city of Pachuca and with the northern area of the Gulf of Mexico.
