Highline do Brasil, a telecommunications infrastructure solutions company, announces the acquisition of approximately 100 sites from Global Sites for R$55 million to be paid entirely in cash. In addition, it has signed an exclusivity agreement to negotiate an additional Global portfolio.

The assets acquired mainly include towers and poles, distributed across several states, such as Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Maranhão, Pará, Pernambuco, Piauí, Paraná, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.

“This acquisition is in line with the strategy of supporting our customers, telecommunications operators, in expanding and modernizing coverage, contributing to mobile digital access throughout the country,” says Daniel Lafer, CFO of Highline.

"We are attentive to the needs and challenges of each client, whether they are large or small operators, seeking to anticipate their movements and present efficient solutions including towers, poles, rooftops, energy solutions, radio base stations and other solutions in a rental model", says Lafer.

Recently, Highline also signed a contract with the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) for financing of R$65 million, through the BNDES FUST program (Universalization Fund for Telecommunications Services), aiming at the construction of 182 towers prepared for the installation of 4G and 5G antennas in all regions of the country.

"This contract for the Ministry of Communications' FUST project was the first in a series that we intend to establish in order to accelerate the installation deadlines desired by large operators and new entrants in their expansion projects and fulfillment of obligations assumed with Anatel", explains Paulo Cézar Martins, Director of Institutional Relations and New Markets at the company.
