Hispasat registers increase in 2013 profits
Net profit for Spanish satellite operator Hispasat increased 5.5% to 54.3mn euros (US$75.5mn) in 2013.
Revenues reached 201mn euros in 2013, flat from 2012. Of the total revenues, 56% were garnered in Latin America, the company said in a release.
Investments came in at 157mn euros for 2013, which includes the completion and launch of Amazonas 3, Latin America's first Ka-band satellite. The Amazonas 4A and Hispasat AG1 programs were also continued, according to the company.
