Honduras launches power transmission project tender

Honduras’ state power company Enee launched an international public tender for transmission project Negrito-Yoro II-Arenales-Coyoles Central II-Reguleto.

BNamericas previously reported that the 176km, 230kV line will boost dispatch in Yoro department and cost an estimated US$130mn.

“After months of hard work raising easements, cadastral registration, defining the final outline and socializing with the communities by the environment directorate, the tender was launched,” Enee said in an update.

The company did not immediately respond to a request sent to licitaciones@enee.hn for bidding information.

The project is part of national dispatch center CND’s 2024-33 transmission grid expansion plan, an online meeting for which will be held May 10 to present modifications. Registration details are available here
