Hot Rock sets drill, survey window

Hot Rock (ASX: HRL) early next year aims to begin geothermal drilling in Chile and geophysical surveys in Peru, according to an investor presentation. The Chile work is penciled in for February-April and targets projects Calerias and Longaví with estimated resources of 185MW and 135MW, respectively. The company's other Chile projects are Santa Macarena, Tuyajto, Copahue, San Cristóbal and San Jorge. Geophysical surveys for Peru projects Quellaapacheta and Chocopata are scheduled for March-April. Hot Rock's other project in the country is Rupha. The presentation paralleled company news it received firm commitments for a 785,000 Australian dollar (US$781,640) capital increase by way of placement of 31.5mn ordinary shares at $0.025 Australian dollars each. Funds will go to field and community consultation activities for future geological, geochemical and geophysical studies in Chile and Peru, and research into additional opportunities in the countries.
