ICT tender watch: Ecuador, Nicaragua, Suriname

The Ecuadoran agriculture ministry is looking for open source solutions for the optimization and automation of processes in the country's Proyecto Agro initiative.

The value of the contract is US$466,000, financed by a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The project must be executed within 210 days.

The Nicaraguan telecoms department invited eligible consultancies to draw up a general bill for the country's new ICT framework.

The goal is to strengthen the role of the regulatory agency and expand the normative and policy framework of the ICT sector, a tender notice said.

The bill should focus on ensuring that the goals of Nicaragua's broadband program are met, as well as those for the use of broadband and ICT capacities by citizens and public institutions.

The process is co-financed by IDB and the Korean investment agency, and the estimated budget is US$200,000.
