January 2024, São Paulo - iez! telecom, one of the winners of the regional 5G license for the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, aims to build a 5G network to offer products such as FWA, or fixed wireless broadband, to consumers (B2C), companies and ISPs (B2B) and mobile services, as well as services for public networks and schools. Offering services over private networks for companies is also part of the scope.

In a strategic partnership with the renowned company Highline, iez! telecom signed an agreement to rent space to install its equipment in at least 1,000 towers, marking a new chapter in the mission to connect Brazil from the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro.

“This pioneering collaboration aims to implement a robust 5G network, which goes far beyond access to high-speed internet. Brazil is a continental-sized country with major regional challenges and our commitment to the 3.5GHz spectrum is to provide small cities in Brazil with a complete technological revolution, including mobile phone services and world-class solutions,” says Anderson Ferreira, New Business Manager at iez! telecom.

With this partnership, iez! telecom expects within two years to meet its obligations to bring 5G to cities with less than 30,000 inhabitants from 2026.

According to Ferreira: “5G connectivity is more than just speed; it is a catalyst for progress. With the use of the latest technology equipment and cutting-edge radios, our network will not only be efficient, but also ecologically responsible, consuming less energy and generating a reduced carbon footprint.”

As Brazil moves into the future, we are committed to ensuring that small cities share the same benefits as capital cities.

"This partnership reinforces our commitment to digital inclusion and the democratization of digital services across the country, creating value for society through the growth of the communications sector in a responsible and sustainable way," says Paulo Martins, director of institutional relations and new Highline markets.
