In Aña Cuá they receive a large batch of parts for future generating units

This EBY release was published using machine translation.

In the first days of August, thirty-five (35) large trucks have entered the machining work area of the Aña Cuá Arm, containing approximately 510 tons of components, corresponding to the three Generators of Units AC01, AC02 and AC03, which will be coupled to the Kaplan turbines of the Brazo Aña Cuá machining project.

The batch entered includes a set of complete Generator Poles, corresponding to Units AC01, AC02 and AC03.

For each Generator there are 80 pairs of Poles, with an approximate mass of 91 tons.

Also, a set of bars for the stator of the AC01, AC02 and AC03 Generator Units. For each Generator, there are 528 lower bars and 528 upper bars in the Stator, totaling 1056 bars with an approximate mass of 19 tons.

In addition, a batch of Sheets that make up the Stator Core and RTD set of the Generators of Units AC01, AC02 and AC03.

Likewise, Combined Brake and Jack Units of the Generators of the three Units of the Project and the Rails and fixing plates corresponding to the Gantry Crane of intake cofferdams.

The parts are provided by the company VOITH HYDRO LTDA, within the YE-AMPLYA Contract, a company awarded for the electromechanical supply of the machining project of the Aña Cuá Arm.

It should be remembered that last May a convoy with a batch of fixed parts for the turbines and generators, also supplied by the same contractor company, had also entered the work zone.

generation increase

The machining of the Aña Cuá Arm, undertaken by the Yacyretá Binational Entity, will imply a 10% increase in power generation and an installed capacity of 270 megawatts.

The work includes the installation of three Kaplan type turbines, vertical axis, with a unit capacity of 90.20 MW, a net head of 19.9 meters and a total annual generation of around 2,000 GW/hour.
