São Paulo, July 1, 2024 - Today Intel and Softtek, a company dedicated to helping its customers evolve through digital technology, joined forces to accelerate digital transformation in companies in Latin America and the United States. This strategic alliance combines Intel's expertise in advanced technologies with Softtek's track record of delivering world-class enterprise solutions.
“Latin America is a great hub for innovation”, says Gisselle Ruiz Lanza, Vice President of Intel's Sales and Marketing Group and General Director for Latin America. “We want to invest more in the region to feed the ecosystem, and this is a great mission. That's why partnerships like the one we signed today with Softtek are essential for companies native to Latin America to grow and take their products and services to more and more organizations, both inside and outside the region.”
Digital transformation will continue to be a priority for Latin American companies in the coming years. According to Inesdi Business Techschool's Think Digital Report 2023 survey, 16% of companies started their transformation six years ago or more, compared to 11% in 2022. Furthermore, 72% of companies that had not yet started the process intend to do so in 2024.
Partnership details
The objective of any digital transformation journey is to increase the organization's competitiveness. This involves adopting cloud-based solutions and maximizing the power of artificial intelligence (AI), for example.
Intel has a broad portfolio of solutions to improve the performance, scalability and efficiency of enterprise systems, cloud environments and Artificial Intelligence workloads. Softtek, in turn, has the consultancy capacity, service models and geographic coverage to bring these solutions to a wide range of organizations in the Americas.
“Together with Intel, we can help our customers improve performance, optimize costs and create future-ready solutions,” said Blanca Treviño, President and CEO of Softtek. “In this first phase, we will focus on Artificial Intelligence, business systems, infrastructure and cloud.”
Cutting-edge technology
On the artificial intelligence side, Softtek is currently one of the region's leading partners for the use of specialized architectures, such as the Intel® Gaudi® AI accelerators, which are specially designed to provide a new level of productivity advantages and options for generative AI in data centers. On the other hand, the company is using the Intel openVINO™ toolkit to optimize its Deep Learning models.
Within business systems solutions, Softtek uses Intel's oneAPI open standard to optimize its workloads, which translates into extrapolated value for its customers by having libraries optimized for programming, as well as tools that allow identification of bottlenecks in flows code work, among many others. On the infrastructure side, Intel adds to this alliance its hardware solutions from the edge to the data centers, such as Intel® Core™, Intel® Core™ Ultra and Intel® Xeon® processors.
In cloud solutions, Intel advises Softtek on the instances on which its workloads run, making recommendations to improve performance or reduce costs when changing instances. Intel and Softtek can also collaborate on other workload optimization tools directly in code.
This alliance will allow not only to integrate the solutions of both companies to offer much more valuable technologies, but also to add their years of experience in the sector to offer companies a competitive advantage and boost their business strategies.
Both Intel and Softtek have a significant presence in Latin America, with decades of activity in the region. Softtek has been providing solutions to enable Intel's operations since 2015. This is the second agreement that Intel has formed with a company native to Latin America, underlining the region's relevance for its business.
