Interconnection of the Incahuasi gauge bridge guarantees heating gas for the Rio Grande plant
This YPFB release was published using machine translation.
La Paz, April 29 (AN-YPFB). – YPFB Transporte SA, a subsidiary of the state oil company, completed the interconnection of the gas measurement bridge of the Incahuasi lateral (evacuation line) with the Santa Cruz-Yacuiba gas pipeline (GSCY) to guarantee the supply of high calorific gas to the Separation Plant in Río Grande, in Santa Cruz.
“This project allows us to supply high calorific or rich natural gas to the Río Grande Plant so that it can be treated in the liquid separation plant to obtain greater volumes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), stabilized gasoline and gasoline rich in isopentanes and guarantee natural gas for the domestic market and for export,” explained Armin Dorgathen, president of YPFB.
A metering bridge is a set of equipment designed to transfer hydrocarbons from a production field for delivery to pipeline transportation systems and, in the same way, are used to account for the volumes delivered to end users. such as large industries. A precise measurement bridge assures the population of the exact amount of gas that is delivered by YPFB.
This gas has a quality higher than the minimum required, which implies that liquids can be recovered from it and continue to comply with the gas quality stipulated for export contracts.
“The gas production from the fields in southern Bolivia is transported by the Yacuiba-Río Grande gas pipeline (GASYRG) and the Santa Cruz-Yacuiba gas pipeline (GSCY), both of which represent the main gas supply systems for the domestic market, the liquid separation plants and attention to both the Brazilian and Argentine markets,” the authority added.
