ISA exports 108GWh to Ecuador in Apr

Colombia's state transmission company ISA exported 108GWh of electricity to Ecuador in April, bringing in revenues of US$7.3mn, the company said in a statement. In 2005 power exports to Ecuador have brought in US$49mn for Colombia and US$265mn for the 26 months the interconnection between the two countries has been in operation, the statement said. In April Colombia imported 4.55GWh of power from Ecuador for a total of US$110,000. April's average power export prices to Ecuador were 88-102 Colombian pesos/kWh (US$0.037-0.043/kWh), while import prices from Ecuador were 48-302 pesos/kWh.
