ISA profits climb 117% in Q3

Colombia's state transmission company ISA posted 111bn-peso (US$42.8mn) profits for the first nine months of the year, up 117% from the same period of 2003, the company said in a statement. Operating revenues increased 12% to 539bn pesos and operating profits increased 6% to 279bn pesos. EBITDA for the year to September was 377bn pesos and the EBITDA margin was 70%. ISA cut its non-operating losses by 23% to 114bn pesos. Assets at September 30, 2004 were valued at 4.25tn pesos and liabilities were 1.83bn pesos.
