Jamaica plans overhaul of petroleum terminals
Jamaican state refiner Petrojam has issued a request for proposals to support a project to upgrade its Kingston and Montego Bay loading terminals.
The company seeks a consultant to assist with the design, construction and implementation of the project which entails the installation of an electronic preset and terminal manager software and improving the interface between the system and trucks.
The upgrade includes the revamp of pumping and piping infrastructure to provide consistent and stable flow rates.
The winner will be responsible for the preparation of procurement packages which will be used to solicit bids for the work starting in January based on the tentative timetable.
Construction would begin in August and commissioning in May 2024.
Documents are due by December 14, according to bidding information.
Petrojam also has a call underway to build two asphalt tanks.
