Jamaica stepping up deployment of rooftop solar systems
Jamaica’s energy ministry has launched bidding for a package of works as part of its energy management and efficiency program, funded by IDB, JICA and EU-CIF.
The focus of the call is the installation of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on 16 public buildings, including schools, and ministerial and municipal offices.
The contract also covers the installation of LED lighting and inverter-based air conditioning units, according to the reference terms.
