JBIC, EPM forge Colombia green hydrogen alliance

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) to promote cooperation in green hydrogen projects.
The initiative aims to fast-track a supply chain for green hydrogen and its derivatives – including ammonia – while paving the way for investments by Japanese companies in the nascent sector, JBIC said in a statement.
Last year EPM announced plans to export clean hydrogen and ammonia after inaugurating a green hydrogen hub at its Aguas Nacionales wastewater treatment plant in Medellín.
