Palamina expanded its land holdings in Peru's Puno Orogenic Gold Belt. The company applied for an additional 25,000ha to cover structures along strike from known gold mineralization.
Palamina has the Gaban, Cori, Bendi, Coasa and Orco properties in the belt.

Colombia-based Orosur Mining appointed Bob Schafer as non-executive director with immediate effect. Roger Davey retired as a non-executive director.
Orosur has the San Gregorio gold mine in Uruguay and exploration assets in Uruguay, Chile and Colombia.

Defiance Silver entered a loan agreement allowing the company to borrow up to Cdn$0.7mn (US$0.5mn) to fund exploration on its San Acacio silver project in Mexico.
