LIME launches 4G LTE in Dominica
LIME launched Dominica's first 4G data network, local media reported.
The telecom firm, part of the CWC group, said that the network would be available to businesses first, providing data-only rate plans. The service employs the 700MHz frequency.
Jeffrey Baptiste, LIME general manager, said the company invested US$4.5mn to deploy the network and has 54 base stations.
The network is due to be fully operational by the end of the month.
LIME has already deployed 4G LTE in the Cayman Islands and expects to do so in the Virgin Islands and Jamaica in the coming months.
