Lipigas, a company dedicated to providing energy solutions with more than 70 years of presence in Chile, has successfully implemented SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to improve the efficiency and experience of its distributors, business partners of the company in charge of serving customers of liquefied gas packaged in cylinders.
Lipigas faced several challenges in managing its distributors, specifically in three critical areas: order taking, invoice payment, and keeping current accounts unblocked. These processes were highly dependent on human intervention, creating friction for both distributors and other users of the company, especially during periods of high demand, such as winter.
By implementing SAP BTP, Lipigas has managed to automate and digitalize these processes, significantly reducing the time and effort required to perform these tasks. The platform has allowed distributors to self-manage their orders and payments, providing a more fluid and efficient experience. The transparency and availability of online information has improved significantly, eliminating the need to resort to human intermediaries.
"The implementation of SAP BTP has transformed our internal processes and the experience of our distributors. Now, our customers can manage themselves and access information in real time, which has improved overall satisfaction," said Arturo González, Deputy Technology Manager at Lipigas.
Lipigas continues to work on new projects and plans to continue collaborating with SAP to maintain its competitive advantage. Very soon, it will migrate its ERP infrastructure to RISE, and on the horizon is the migration to SAP S/4HANA and the exploration of new solutions to further optimize its operations. In addition, the company is expanding CRM solutions for scheduling visits to its existing service solutions, always seeking to innovate and improve the customer experience.
