Megatelecom announces the signing of a Purchase and Sale Commitment for 100% of InterNexa Brasil's shares, continuing its project to consolidate the B2B operator market in the national territory.
The acquisition includes network assets, which include an extensive network in the southern region, in the states of RS, SC and PR and in RJ, with a network between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in addition to metropolitan networks in strategic cities in the interior such as Curitiba, Campinas, São Jose dos Campos, Niterói and the entire lake region in Rio de Janeiro.
Since its entry into the Brazilian market, InterNexa has been working on building a connectivity ecosystem, focusing on serving national and international telecommunications operators, access providers and content companies.
With this acquisition, Mega will enter a new market, that of long-distance networks (backbones) of high availability and density using the electrical transmission network, through OPGW networks.
“We are very excited and energized by this new acquisition and are confident that, together, we will reach new levels of success and growth” comments Carlos Eduardo Sedeh, CEO of Mega.
Sedeh highlights that the companies have very similar strategic values, regarding the quality of services provided and the care for employees and customers. “Our commitment is to the continuity of operations, being able to add our IT knowledge and investment capacity to the company’s current portfolio,” adds the executive.
“We found in Mega the ideal partner so that our customers in Brazil continue to receive a service with the highest quality standards and with a dedicated and experienced team”, says Carlos Giraldo, CEO of InterNexa Brasil. Giraldo also highlights that finding ideas and principles similar to those at InterNexa at Mega was very positive for the process and brings peace of mind to customers and all stakeholders.
The transaction is subject to approval by CADE and ANATEL.
