Metlen Energy & Metals Press Release
Athens, Greece – March 5, 2025 – METLEN Energy & Metals (RIC: MYTr.AT, Bloomberg: MYTIL.GA, ADR: MYTHY US) (“ METLEN ”) continues to strengthen its position in Chile’s renewable energy sector with the successful signing of three EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts for solar and storage power plants, marking a significant step in the advancement of renewable energy in Latin America.
Specifically, METLEN has signed and executed 3 individual EPC contracts by early 2025, which include the implementation of a total of 190.5 MWp of solar power capacity and more than 2,500 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity. All projects are scheduled to be delivered by the first quarter of 2026 at the latest.
These partnerships reflect METLEN’s reputation as a trusted EPC contractor in the region, while showcasing the company’s capabilities in delivering integrated energy solutions for advanced solar and storage technologies.
Beyond these strategic partnerships, METLEN is also boosting its own investment with the Mesembria project, a 1,607 MWh battery storage system scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025, further reinforcing its commitment to energy innovation and sustainability in Chile.
The projects will play a vital role in meeting Chile’s energy transition goals, propelling METLEN to the forefront of the country’s renewable energy sector with nearly 30% of the storage market share.
