Bnamericas

Mexican hydrocarbon operators’ association Amexhi has added three new members to its board for 2024-25 and confirmed Shell's Alberto de la Fuente as chairman.

De la Fuente is president and CEO of Shell Mexico.

The three new members of the board are Valentina Olvera from Talos Energy, Edna Osuna from TotalEnergies and Raymundo Piñones from Woodside Energy. Olvera has been named deputy chair of the association.

Amexhi represents Mexico's small band of international and domestic operators, who account for about 5% of the country's oil and gas production. National oil company Pemex is responsible for the remainder.

Perenco, Eni, Harbour Energy, Hokchi Energy and Tecpetrol are also represented on Amexhi's board.
