Mexico state starts constuction of US$150mn cable car line

Mexico state started construction of line No. 3 of the Mexicable cable car passenger system.

The US$149mn, 9.5km line will connect Cuatro Caminos intermodal terminal and two neighborhoods in Naucalpan municipality. It will serve 10 stations and 700,000 residents, the state’s mobility minister Daniel Sibaja González was quoted as saying by El Financiero.

Sibaja added that the line will provide modern and affordable public transport and that pre-construction works had started in October.

Among the stations are Mexipuerto Cuatro Caminos, Lázaro Cárdenas, El Molinito and Lomas del Cadete. The line will reduce travel time for the complete commute from 60 to 30 minutes.
