Bnamericas

Mexican construction and infrastructure company Hycsa has launched a subsidiary dedicated to renewable energy, sustainability and electrification.

In a filing with Mexican stock exchange BMV, the company said that the creation of Hycsa Green Capital would help it access emerging opportunities in all the markets in which it operates.

The new subsidiary will focus on solar energy projects and other clean energy technologies.

As well as its home market, Hycsa operates in Bolivia, Colombia and El Salvador. In 2023, the company had revenues of 7.35 billion pesos (US$390 million) and employed more than 3,000 people.

In the energy sector, the company's clients include Mexico's national oil company Pemex and oilfield services giants Halliburton and SLB.
