MINEM: BonoGas arrives in the Piura region so that more families can access natural gas

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) announced that, starting in November, the BonoGas program, which finances internal natural gas connections, will begin to be implemented in the Piura region; allowing more Peruvian families to have clean energy at a lower cost.

On October 15, the MINEM, as Administrator of the Energy Social Inclusion Fund (FISE), began the bidding process so that the installation companies registered in the Registry of Natural Gas Installers of the Supervisory Body for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) that offer the best conditions (technical and economic) can participate in the BonoGas program.

This program already operates in the Lima, Callao, Ica, Áncash, Cajamarca, Lambayeque and La Libertad regions; It has financed more than 1.2 million natural gas connections, and will be available to users in 5 areas of the towns of Paita and La Tortuga, within the framework of the 2023 Annual Promotions Program.

BonoGas allows the free installation of natural gas in homes from low socioeconomic strata, and the financing of the installation with a return of 50%, 75% and 100% for families of medium, medium low, medium high and high socioeconomic level. In these cases, the financing has a repayment period of up to 10 years without interest.
