MITIC and Ruta N Medellín agree to enhance the country'ss ICT ecosystem
This is a machine translation of MITIC's press release
Under the premise that the coordination of efforts is essential for the successful implementation of an initiative of common interest, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC) and the Ruta N Medellín Corporation have signed a cooperation agreement in Asunción, on August 12, in order to carry out tasks that involve both institutions. This agreement aspires, mainly, to create a collaboration framework between the two parties, with the purpose of enhancing the technological ecosystem of Paraguay.
Along these lines, it is important to highlight that Ruta N Medellín is a benchmark in the region in technological innovation, as well as in the generation of ICT talent and new opportunities in the period defined as the "4th Industrial Revolution". Specifically, the time of cooperation between the reference entity and the MITIC, as established in one of the clauses of the agreement, is 2 years from the signing of the agreement.
Within this period, the main purpose that guides the agreement is the achievement of mutual support between the two organizations for the development of ICT talent, through specific objectives such as: the dissemination of information in the communication channels belonging to the parties signatories; participation in conferences, seminars, webinars and similar activities; and the exchange of data on opportunities within the innovation ecosystem, for the ICT, energy and life sciences sectors.
Within this framework of cooperation, on the same date a webinar on Emerging Technologies and required skills was developed, where Iván Castaño, executive director of Ruta N, referred to the challenges of companies in the face of digital transformation. Castaño stated that "devising ideas is relatively easy, the challenge is to innovate", adding that "there are no recipes to innovate, but there are processes that can increase the probability of success".
