The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) awarded, through Resolution No. 1,599/24, to the Civil Construction Company S.A. the execution of the works to Improve the Urban Roadway across the city of Coronel Oviedo, department of Caaguazú, for an amount of G. 78,790 million.

The section to be worked on begins at the western roundabout, approximately at km 128.6, and ends at the other roundabout at km 135.8. The works will include the rehabilitation and paving of 7.5 km of the old route, the construction of collectors, walkways, bike paths, installation of street furniture, parking, improvement of calle Maristas, drainage, lined gutters, deep drainage and improvement of intersections, among other works.

The project also includes the creation of new quality spaces for citizens, such as a linear park for pedestrians, parking areas, street furniture, tree planting, safe areas for children, esplanades for social events, toilets, a first aid unit and a security booth. All of this while complying with strict socio-environmental protection measures.

The deadline established for the construction of these works is 12 months, from the notification of the order to start by the MOPC. This work is eagerly anticipated by the community of Coronel Oviedo, as it will significantly improve the quality of life of the inhabitants by transforming the main access and traffic circulation in the city.
