Names surface for Guyana offshore exploration work
Guyana’s government has released the names of companies looking to conduct offshore seismic work.
The groups that submitted expressions of interest for the 3D multiclient surveys are CGG, Earth & Marine Environmental Consultants, Guyana Oil Field Partner, Latitude Energy, Partner Prest Solutions GEO, PGS Exploration, Schlumberger, and TGS, procurement information shows.
BNamericas previously reported that Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo had announced that eight companies expressed interest, although names were not disclosed at the time.
The Ministry of Natural Resources issued the call in June, and firms that meet qualification requirements will be shortlisted and invited to submit technical and financial proposals.
The seismic information will be used to support future bidding and licensing rounds.
Meanwhile, Halliburton and Schlumberger are participating in a process to provide the ministry with data management services for exploration and production data.
