Neita drilling underway; trenching imminent

Toronto-based junior Unigold (TSX-V: UGD) has kicked off 6,000m drilling at the 25,000ha Neita mineral property in the Dominican Republic, and aims to start trenching there this week, the company announced. "We are presently drilling the Candelones area of the Neita property," company CEO John Thompson said, adding: "Our program is to drill the four large anomalies where we have found previously reported high values of copper and gold." Trenching will focus on the property's Poso Negro area, the company said. Unigold agreed to purchase the Neita and Sabaneta properties, which together measure 81,000ha in the Dominican Republic, from Toronto's Caribgold Resources (TSX-V: CG), BNamericas reported last year.
