New Dominican Energy Minister confirms participation in Energyear Caribe

With the confirmed participation of the new Minister of Energy and Mines of the Dominican Republic, Joel Santos Echavarría, Energyear returns to Dominican territory to develop the next edition of its important networking event in the Caribbean region with an agenda set to address the main themes and objectives of the new government and the entire energy and renewable sector of the region.

Likewise, the Dominican Republic is beginning to prepare with this new start for the much-needed modernization of the electrical system or the improvement of the service and reliability of supply to users, which will have to be accompanied by regulatory modifications that lead to a successful conclusion, and with the help of the public sector, associations and private companies, these initiatives to face not only the changing international panorama, but also the increase in local consumption and demand.

In this sense, taking advantage of the solar and wind resources that the Dominican Republic has becomes a matter of first necessity and an ally to consolidate a country project that allows taking important steps for the economy through the implementation of alternative sources and more environmentally friendly vectors, thus achieving greater sustainability and achievements in terms of productivity and local competitiveness.
