Nicaragua launches airport modernization tender
Nicaragua is seeking a contractor to modernize two airports in the country’s South Caribbean area.
Tender 12023/2023 by national airports company EAAI is accessible on procurement site Nicaraguacompra, but does not mention the facilities, only that works should improve reliability and safety.
In the south Caribbean area, EAAI operates the Corn Island and the Bluefields airports.
The tender rules must be requested via email fulloa@eaai.com.ni from project coordinator Fernando Ulloa. The deadline to receive bids is September 22, although a reference budget was not mentioned.
Since the Central American Bank for Economic Integration is providing financing, the winner will be selected in line with the bank’s standards.
In 2021, EAAI launched a tender for consulting services for this project, which were awarded to Edicro.
