NII to roll out new family of Motorola business handsets

Digital trunking operator NII Holdings (Nasdaq: NIHD) will offer Motorola's (NYSE: MOT) newest line of handsets through its four Latin American subsidiaries, NII said in a statement on Wednesday. The operating units of NII Holdings in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru will expand their portfolio of handsets with Motorola's new family of business-oriented mobile products. The handest functions include the original two-way dispatch radio (push-to-talk), Java technology, a GPS system for global position location, integrated speakerphone, vibrant color screens, increased memory, and animated graphic user interfaces. NII Holdings uses Motorola's patented Iden digital trunking technology to provide mobile telephony services.
