North Lima Power Grid offers over US$500mn for Peru power distributor shares

North Lima Power Grid Holding has made a public offer for shares in power distributor Pluz Energía Perú, which serves capital Lima.

Pluz, formerly known as Enel Distribución Perú (EDP), said in a regulatory filing that the offer is for 424,917,247 shares.

The offer is for shareholders who were not able to participate in Enel Perú’s sale of 2,522,032,951 shares, equivalent to 83.15% of its stake in EDP, to North Lima for US$3.02bn.

According to Macroconsult, which was selected to value the offer, the minimum share price is US$1.2035 for a total of US$523mn.

North Lima is a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid International.
