Odata parent Aligned Data Centers secures equity investment from CenterSquare
Aligned Data Centers, controller of LatAm-focused datacenter group Odata, secured an undisclosed equity investment from US real estate investment manager CenterSquare.
"The investment was facilitated through CenterSquare’s strategic partnership with Macquarie Asset Management, whose managed funds hold a majority stake in Aligned Data Centers", Aligned said in a release.
Odata is Aligned's sole datacenter operation in Latin America.
The Brazilian company, founded by local investment bank BTG Pactual in 2015, has six sites in operation in Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Mexico, with others under construction or development in those countries.
Including Aligned’s US portfolio, the group lists 14 datacenters in operation and 12 under construction in five countries.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Philadelphia, CenterSquare reported US$13bn in assets under management at the end of last year.
