Brazil creates biodiesel working group

Brazil's mining and energy ministry has created a working group that will study a proposal to raise the country's biodiesel admixture, according to the official gazette.

Under current regulations, biodiesel comprises 7% of Brazil's diesel blend.

MME said the working group would test the viability of an increase in the admixture to 10% in 2017 and 15% in 2019.

Earlier this month Brazil's hydrocarbons regulator ANP said it approved the use of B20 diesel during the Olympics in August and the Paralympics in September.
