SeaBird signs South America 2D offshore seismic LOI
SeaBird Exploration signed a letter of intent to carry out a 2D seismic survey in South America.
"The project is estimated to commence first half of third quarter and will have a duration of approximately two and a half months," the Cyprus-based company said in a statement, adding that it will use vessel Northern Explorer for the survey.
A spokesperson for SeaBird declined to provide further details on the location or nature of the project, citing that no contracts had been signed with the other parties involved.
In its recently published annual report, SeaBird said it expected an uptick in demand for seismic data acquisition in Latin America, namely in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
