Rates
Meanwhile, public services regulator Asep said power rates will not vary during the first half of 2025, benefiting around one million clients.
“It has been confirmed that, thanks to contributions from the State, for the first half of 2025, through the well-known tariff stabilization fund (FET) with 38mn balboas [same in US$], all clients of the companies Edemet, Ensa and Edechi, which consume up to 300kWh per month, will not see any adjustment,” the watchdog said.
Asep added that “in the case of the western tariff fund (FTO), whose contribution is 30mn balboas, 99% of Edechi clients residing in Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro will also benefit.”
