Panama eases solar incentives framework
Panama lawmakers approved a modification to the solar power incentives regime law, the national assembly reported.
The change eliminates the selective consumption tax which applies to certain imported products.
The legislative body also said that a proposal to establish the regulatory framework regarding climate change has reached 98% consensus and that the population, environment and social development subcommittee will soon submit a report to the environment committee.
The bills are in the Documents box in the top right corner of the screen.
