Panama’s state power transmission company Etesa launched bidding to supply energy and capacity to cover the obligations of power distributors Ensa, Edemet and Edechi.

BNamericas previously reported on the process, contracts for which will run from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2030.

The energy component is open to hydro, solar, wind and biomass plants in commercial operation or in testing, and the capacity component is open to any technology available for dispatch or in commercial operation.
