Bnamericas

The Panamanian government is seeking to hire a firm to rehabilitate and refurbish the Santiago-San Francisco-Santa Fe highway, in Veraguas province.

The US$45mn project will see the road being expanded from two to four lanes and it will last two and a half years, according to local news outlet La Estrella de Panamá.

The tender (2023-0-09-0-09-LV-008582) is for a contract that involves studies, design and construction works.

The works will be carried out along 53.7km to improve safety and accessibility for users and contribute to the province’s integration with the rest of the country.

Interested parties can participate in an information meeting on June 23. The submission of proposals to the public works ministry (MOP) is scheduled for July 25 in electronic form.
