The National Energy Secretariat has reactivated the Advisory Council, a space for dialogue and collaboration in the development of energy policies in the country.

This important meeting has not been held since 2015, and represents the beginning of a new cycle of participation between various actors in the sector.

At the meeting, held at the offices of the Secretariat, relevant issues were discussed regarding the future of biofuels and the nation's sustainable energy strategy.

The reactivation of the Advisory Council seeks to foster a constructive exchange of ideas and proposals, recognizing the importance of diversity of opinions in the formulation of effective policies.

The meeting was attended by important representatives of the sector, including Eng. Dayana Fernández from ETESA, Eng. Vicente Prescott, Manager of EGESA, the Vice Minister of Environment Oscar Vallarino from MiAmbiente, together with his technical team on climate change, Zelmar Rodríguez de Massiah, Administrator of ASEP and Eng. Edgar Wong from CONEP.

The National Secretary of Energy, Juan Manuel Urriola, highlighted the importance of this space to coordinate efforts that promote a sustainable and responsible energy transformation.

The reactivation of the Advisory Council represents a significant step towards inclusion and dialogue in the formulation of energy policies, emphasizing the importance of working together for the well-being of the country and the environment.
