The day continued with an enriching conversation between Panama and Uruguay, where the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was agreed with the Minister of Energy of Uruguay, Elisa Facio, thus confirming the commitment of both nations to promote joint initiatives aimed at promote the renewable hydrogen economy.

Subsequently, the process of developing the Action Plan to implement an MOU with Chile began, beginning with a collaboration with the province of Antofagasta in this country, the first place to serve as a development center for the circular economy of green hydrogen.

The Panamanian representative highlighted in her interventions that the objective of the Green Hydrogen Hub Master Plan is to support the implementation of the National Green Hydrogen Strategy and its derivatives, through the evaluation of the strategic options and the viability for Panama to become in a maritime supply center for green hydrogen for maritime transport.

He reaffirmed that the initiative, which is part of the country's Energy Transition Agenda, aims to position Panama as the global route for green hydrogen, enhancing its geographical location and infrastructure to supply the logistics, domestic, maritime, air and transportation sectors with renewable energy. land.

Secretary Lindo reiterated Panama's interest in adding more companies for the development of green hydrogen production and storage infrastructure in the Isthmus, since the country offers advantageous conditions for foreign investments.
