Paperless aims to double revenues between 2012 and 2014

Bnamericas
Chilean electronic document solutions provider Paperless doubled its revenues between 2010 and 2012, and is aiming to double them again between 2012 and 2014, the company's general manager, Alfredo Guardiola, told BNamericas. Paperless currently operates in Brazil and Peru, as well as Chile, and is aiming to enter the Ecuadorian and Colombian markets in the near future. Brazil's growth has "not been too explosive this year" due to the current economic scenario in the country, according to the executive. Meanwhile, Peru has grown very rapidly, with revenues increasing by two or three times this year compared to last year, albeit from a lower base, he added. Paperless pioneered non tax-related e-documents in its domestic markets this year in areas such as B2B and B2C contracts, as well as labor contracts. The firm is hoping to export this business segment to other markets such as Peru, and believes that its non tax-related e-document business could be as large as its tax-related e-document business within the next three years. If Paperless is able to continue expanding business through the introduction of e-receipts in Braziland non tax-related electronic documents in Chile, as well as expand into new markets, the goal of doubling revenues between 2012 and 2014 is highly achievable, according to the executive. The full interview with Guardiola, in which the executive further discusses plans for the Ecuadorian and Colombian markets, as well as upcoming legislative changes in Chile, will be published in this week's IT Perspectives, for subscribers only.
