During a press conference, the Minister of Public Works, Eng. Claudia Centurión, announced the termination of the contract for Lot 3 of the Pozo Colorado-Concepción route and an audit of the Control and Monitoring Center of the National Electronic Ticketing System.

On this first point, the minister was clear and said: “I want to give the message to the citizens of Concepción that the MOPC has begun the process of terminating the contract that is – for Lot 3, in particular – under the company B&B Construcciones , so that we can finally respond to the residents in the shortest time possible and that it does not end up becoming another route of lies.”

It should be remembered that the MOPC awarded the construction of the Pozo Colorado – Concepción route in 3 lots: Lot 1 was awarded to the Rutas del Norte Consortium, made up of Rovella Carranza Suc. Py-Concret Mix , by G. 180.337.249.651, which has already been completed and is in its next phase, which is the conservation of the route.

For its part, the tasks in the second lot were awarded to Constructora Sánchez Tripoloni LTDA, for G. 192,673,824,358 and the third lot is in charge of the Nuevo Chaco Consortium, made up of B&B SA- Eurofinsa SA, for G. 168,117. 189,741.

On the other hand, the minister reported that support was requested from the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) to intervene on another contract whose purpose was the construction of a Control and Monitoring Center for the Vice Ministry of Transportation, which today remains without be 100% operational.

“The purpose for which that contract was made cannot be fulfilled. This is a fundamental piece for the accompaniment and monitoring of electronic ticketing operations, the data of its implementation, the monthly technical rates and other data that are analyzed for the subsidy corresponding to the transportation sector,” indicated the head of the MOPC.

Following this line, he said that this process has already been requested from the MOPC Internal Audit Directorate and that the support of the intervention will be the CGR to take the corresponding actions if there are responsibilities regarding the non-operation of that control center.
