Peru launches upstream hydrocarbons service tender

Peru’s hydrocarbons licensing authority Perupetro issued a call to support northwest upstream operations.

The government agency seeks a firm to implement, operate and maintain a remote data transmission system.

The winner will have 60 days to implement the system, and the operation phase will run 730 days.

Offers are due November 22, according to procurement information available here, using code CP-SM-9-2024-PERUPETRO-1 (place the code in the Sigla Nomenclatura box after clicking on Búsqueda Avanzada).

Meanwhile, national oil company Petroperú plans to launch bidding to provide well services for northwest offshore block Z-69.

The contract will run 182 days or until the production license for the acreage concludes. The advance contracting notice is available in the Documents box in the top-right corner.

The NOC operates the block under a two-year temporary contract that expires in November 2025. The block covers 127,056ha.

The northwest is the country’s principal crude producing region, with 13 onshore and three offshore blocks accounting for 48% and 20%, respectively, of the 1.01 million barrels produced in September. The blocks also are marginal natural gas producers.

That month, northwest onshore block X was Peru’s second largest oil contributor, with 203,314b and block Z-69 the principal offshore producer with 133,342b.
