Peru power transmission plan offers US$1bn in projects

Peru’s energy and mines ministry approved power grid coordinator COES’s 2025-34 transmission plan.

The green light follows a review by energy and mining investment regulator Osinergmin of the definitive proposal released in September.

The roadmap includes 19 binding projects for a combined US$1bn that are due online in 2029-34, according to the approval resolution.

The ministry said that agents interested in building and operating the projects have 30 calendar days to express interest.

Osinergmin’s review and the ministry's technical report is available in the Documents box in the top-right corner of the screen.
