Peru readying service call for fuel infrastructure projects
Peru’s national oil company Petroperú plans to launch bidding next month for fuel infrastructure projects Ilo and Ninacaca.
The contract will be for the preservation and conservation of equipment and materials and run for 240 days. Physical advancement of Ilo and Ninacaca at end-June reached 27% and 47%, respectively.
The work will entail carrying out inventories, inspections, labeling and packaging, and security, among other tasks, according to the advance procurement notice.
Regarding the 161mn-sol (US$42.6mn) Ilo terminal, Petroperú said in its latest update that physical progress is being determined as a comprehensive reevaluation is underway due to new requirements and pending permitting.
The terminal in Moquegua region will boast storage capacity of 1.053Mb, 19 unloading cranes and one loading crane, with a first phase due to reach 296,000b.
The 25mn-sol Ninacaca plant in Pasco region faces a similar situation, with a reevaluation underway. This 7,500b project has been idle since 2020.
