Petrobras exploration capex at US$4bn for 2004

Brazilian federally-controlled oil company Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) plans to invest US$4bn in exploration next year, AE-Setorial news service reported the company's head of exploration and production Gilherme Estrella as saying. The amount is the same as in 2003. "Whatever change in this value should be made for later years, based on a revised outline of the company's strategic planning," he said.
