Petrobras reports on gas discovery in Colombia

Petrobras, in continuation of the market announcements issued on 07/29/2022 and 08/05/2024 regarding the extent of gas discoveries in the Uchuva-1 and Uchuva-2 wells, renamed Sirius-1 and Sirius-2, informs that the gas potential in the discoveries located in the Guajira Basin Offshore, in Colombia, is approximately 6 Tcf (trillion cubic feet) in place (VGIP), confirming the magnitude of the discoveries made in the area and their importance for the Colombian gas market.
Petrobras, through Petrobras International Braspetro BV - Colombia Branch, acts as operator (44.44%) in a consortium formed in partnership with Ecopetrol (55.56%). The consortium will continue operations to develop the area, in accordance with planning and contractual provisions with the National Hydrocarbon Agency ( ANH ).
The commercial viability of the reserve will require new studies.
