Petroflex to invest US$64.4m in capacity over five years

Brazilian synthetic rubber manufacturer Petroflex has invested US$9.4mn in 2003 and will disburse another US$55mn through 2007 to boost capacity, business daily Valor Economico reported Friday. "We'll reach output capacity for 400,000t a year," said Carlos Lopes, Petroflex's investor relations director. Currently, Petroflex produces 370,000t a year. According to Lopes, Petroflex will focus on products with "a higher aggregate value." by Sergio Caldas
