Petroperú completes pumping through the Norperuano Pipeline

Machine translation was used to publised the following Petroperú release

Petroperú successfully completed pumping through Section II of the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline (ONP), through which it transported 322 thousand barrels of crude oil, from the Amazon to the northern coast of the country.

The pumping activities were carried out in Section II, from Station 5, located in the Datem del Marañón, Loreto region, to the Bayóvar Terminal, Sechura province, in Piura.

All previous necessary activities such as pressurization of the pumping line, as well as monitoring and analysis of pressure behavior, have been developed and monitored by Petroperú personnel, resulting in the restart of pumping of Section II.

The hydrocarbon transportation service was completed after Petroperú completed all the repair work on the ONP pipeline at the various points where it was affected by intentional cuts.

The company also complies with a preventive maintenance plan, which consists of reinforcing the pipeline, maintaining station equipment, strengthening riverside defenses, patrolling the right of way, as well as cleaning the reserve area by where the pipe runs.

Petroperú maintains - to date - all sections of the ONP operational, reaffirming its commitment to the energy development of the country, through the implementation of safe and efficient practices to value the crude oil reserves of the Amazon.
